Hi, I’m Sylvester! I’m two years old, and my story started outdoors, when I wandered into someone’s backyard. I was TNVRed (trapped, neutered, vaccinated, and returned) and I enjoyed roaming backyards. But then summer came and I developed painful sores on my nose and paw pads—it turns out that I'm allergic to mosquitoes and fleas! A little ointment and some indoor TLC helped me heal, and I’ve been discovering the joys of indoor life ever since. Because of my allergies, I need an indoor home and regular flea prevention.
I'm also FIV+, and I’d be happy as your solo cat. Any feline roommate would need to be a careful match—I prefer ladies and can get territorial with other males.
I'm a goofy, energetic guy who sometimes plays a little rough, so I’d do best with adults or older kids. When I get carried away, redirecting me to a toy or giving me gentle ear rubs helps me settle down. I’m all about kisses and snuggles, and I love snoozing on your chest.
I like having my own space, but I love knowing you’re nearby—and I’ll be sure to call you when it’s time for breakfast. My backyard adventures are behind me, and I’m ready to be someone's best friend.
