Meet Rufus.
When Rufus was found, his face and head were covered in severe mange. His eyes were burning, his body was weak, and he had clearly been struggling just to survive outside—scraping together whatever food he could find and enduring far more than any cat should have to.
But look at him now.
With care, treatment, good food, and a little love, Rufus completely bloomed into the most precious, beautiful boy. His transformation has been nothing short of incredible.
Rufus is FIV positive, but please don’t let those three letters define him. FIV is an immune deficiency, not a death sentence, and FIV-positive cats can live long, happy lives just like any other cat. With a loving home, good nutrition, and routine veterinary care, they can enjoy all the things every cat deserves—love, comfort, safety, and a warm place to call home.
