I'm Available
Meet Roy — a quiet, watchful soul I met at a gas station, where I feed a colony of cats. For weeks, he kept his distance, eyes full of fear, sometimes running away the moment I got too close. But slowly, with patience and gentleness, Roy began to trust me. One day, he took a brave step forward… and walked into the trap. Thanks to the wonderful St. francis Rescue, Roy went in for TNR and received much-needed medical care. The vet found that Roy has microphthalmia in one eye and an elevated third eyelid in the other — and deep wounds on his neck and arm from other cats. He’s been through so much, yet somehow, Roy is still incredibly sweet. I believe he was once someone’s pet… and then abandoned. But even after all the pain, he chooses to trust again. He’s now resting in a cozy bed — maybe the first soft place he’s ever known. He’s a survivor. And more than that, he’s a reminder of how far love, patience and kindness can go.
