Oatmeal’s story began with heartbreak. When her owner moved away, she and several other cats were left behind in crates outside the house, forgotten and alone. Thankfully, caring neighbors noticed them, and rescue stepped in just in time. Because of what she’s been through, Oatmeal may seem a little shy when you first meet her—especially in the busy adoption center with unfamiliar people, sounds, smells, and other animals. But please don’t let that fool you. That isn’t who she truly is. Once she feels safe, Oatmeal blossoms into the sweetest, most gentle little soul. She has so much love to give and is simply waiting for someone who will show her that humans can be kind again.
