Non Compliance Process

The board will investigate and determine if the complaint warrants a written notice to be sent. The reporting volunteer will be informed of the action taken. If the noncompliant behavior continues, the board will decide whether to issue another notice or to terminate that volunteer, depending on the violation.

Anyone endangering the well-being of a volunteer, an animal or the organization as a whole may be terminated immediately.

Anti-Retaliation Policy

No volunteer will face retaliation for reporting concerns. Retaliation includes any form of discrimination, harassment, or unfair treatment. Volunteers who believe they are experiencing retaliation should report their concerns to a board member.  All reports of retaliation will be investigated promptly and confidentially.

Any individual found to be retaliating against a volunteer will face disciplinary action and may be terminated. The board will maintain confidentiality of those reporting or providing information about an incident.
