Our cats at local pet stores need love, attention, and someone to make their day a little brighter while they wait for their forever home. Kennelers provide daily feeding, playtime, and cleaning to keep our cats healthy, happy, and ready for potential adopters. And our Adoption Counselors help adopters find their perfect pet. No experience necessary, we will train you. We do ask that you commit to volunteering at last twice per month.
With a variety of shifts available and locations across Tampa Bay, it is easy to find a shift that works for you. Purrfect for someone who needs a weekly dose of kitty love.
One of the most important members of our volunteer team never even holds a cat! Our dedicated transport volunteers help get our animals adoption-ready by driving them to foster homes, vet appointments, and spay and neuter surgeries. Like a taxi driver — with considerably cuter passengers.
All you need is reliable transportation and the ability to stay calm in Tampa Bay traffic. Hours are completely flexible, you choose the rides that work for your schedule. And as for your playlist? Our feline passengers are famously non-judgmental. They don't even mind if you sing.
To support our TNVR program, we organize spay and neuter days at local clinics and these events rely on a dedicated team of volunteers. They assist with a variety of roles including checking in and weighing cats, transporting them to and from surgery, supporting recovery, and preparing surgery packs. No experience is necessary — we will train you in whatever area interests you most.
It's not easy work, but it's so rewarding. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with other passionate rescuers from across the area who share your commitment to making life better for community cats.
Some of our most impactful volunteers work behind the scenes, their skills helping us reach more adopters, raise more funds, and ultimately save more lives. We are always looking for people who can support us with their professional skills and expertise.
Whether you have a talent for social media, fundraising, event planning, graphic design, photography, writing, or technology, there is a place for you on our team. You don't have to work directly with animals to make a difference for them.
If you have a skill and a passion for animal welfare, we would love to hear from you.
A dog foster provides a temporary, loving home for a dog while they wait for their forever family. Fostering helps us learn their personality and quirks, and dramatically increases their chances of finding the right home. All you need is a safe space, some time, and a willingness to provide structure, exercise, and love. We provide all food, supplies, and veterinary care.
You get the tail wags and cuddles, we handle the rest — and when it's time, you get to watch them go off to their forever home knowing you were the reason they were ready.
Fosters provide a temporary home for cats or kittens while they wait for their forever family. It is one of the most meaningful things you can do for an animal in need — and it is far easier than you might think.
All you need is a spare bedroom, bathroom, or laundry room and a little time and love. We handle everything else — food, supplies, and all veterinary care are provided by us. Fostering is short-term and flexible, making it a perfect fit for students, families, and retirees alike.
And if you happen to fall head over heels? Fosters always get first dibs on adoption.
Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return is the only proven humane method for reducing stray cat populations — and it works. Our TNVR team responds to requests across Tampa Bay, reducing unwanted litters and improving the quality of life for cats and the communities they live in.
For compassionate cat lovers looking to make a real and lasting difference, no experience is necessary and we provide all training and equipment. All you need is reliable transportation, the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and the desire to help. What you'll get is knowing that the work you do today will ripple through cat populations for generations to come.
The cats we TNVR go on to live happy, healthy lives outdoors thanks to dedicated colony feeders. These unsung heroes team up to provide food and fresh water every day.
Colony feeders do more than fill bowls, they monitor their cats for illness or injury so we can get them medical care. They also keep an eye out for new faces that need to be sterilized. You can choose where and when you feed.
While it's a simple task for you, these cats look forward to the daily visit from their feeder. You become a moment of connection that means so much to them.
