Chance
Date of Birth: 06/01/2008
Sex: Male
Color: Brown Tiger/Tabby
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: Chance is about 12 years old, neutered, clean, healthy, has current shots, a Pasco County License and sleeps (and purrs) through the night. Originally an outdoor cat, he’s been indoor only for 7 years. Although he’s become shy with loud noises, he would love to a have outdoor access. He tolerates dogs but is not fond of small children. He also might do better in a single cat home. He has a unique “chirp” when he’s hungry. Contact form more info email: [email protected]

Luna
Date of Birth: 02/01/2012
Sex: Female
Color: White
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: Luna is a 8 year old, fully vetted, all white female kitty that has been looking for a home of her own for some time now. Her owners moved overseas and surrendered her to The Cat Doctors to find a new family. Luna is a sweet little lady with a big personality that enjoys a good window seat and maybe some Netflix at night while snuggling on the couch. She can be sassy at times and is known to playfully swat, or even nibble on your hand. She generally follows it with sweet licks and purrs, but does take time to warm up to new people. Luna gets along very well with other cats, and calm dogs, but would prefer a home without children. She is currently on Royal Canin S/O food for urinary health. We would consider Luna a very independent kitty that loves her humans, but can also spend time on her own gazing out a window, or playing with her toys. If interested in adopting Luna, please email or call The Cat Doctors as she is currently living at their clinic. Email: [email protected] Phone#: 813-877-6369

  • My story: Polly needs a new home.My husband has developed Asthma. He is getting better now that he has medication, but the doctor has said we must re-home our cat, Polly and we are heartbroken. We have had Polly for eight years and she is a Polydactyl/Hemmingway cat. Her front paws were already declawed when we rescued her. She is about 9 or 10 years old. All her shots were updated last October and she has a microchip and is spayed. We are looking for a quiet home for Polly. She loves to be petted, but only around her head and under her chin. She loves this so much she drools. She also has times when she does not like to be bothered and will bite when she is annoyed or afraid, as most declawed cats do. She is used to a quiet environment with out other pets or children. Polly will go to her new home will all her supplies and everything needed. contact to learn more about Polly [email protected]

Sex: Female
Color: Orange Tiger/Tabby
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: Carmella (tabby and white) and OJ (solid orange tabby). This is a mother-daughter orange-tabby bonded pair. Carmella is the mother and is between 7-10 years old. Juicy is between 5-7 years old and is a polydactyl! The mother is a bit more reclusive but very food motivated and will purr her heart out for you when it is feeding time. The daughter is very social, likes to cuddle up and sleep in the bed. They were outdoor cats but I brought them inside and they seem just fine with it. Ideal situation would be indoors or indoor/outdoor with an outdoor lanai. They must be kept away from busy streets. They are fine with dogs as long as the dogs are easy going. Unknown how they are with children or other cats. Both are fixed and up to date on their shots. contact rescuer at [email protected]

MJ
Date of Birth: 03/25/2019
Sex: Female
Color: Black & White
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: Hi there my name is MJ and I have an amazing sister Xedo who I am bonded with and we are looking to be adopted together. We were born to a feral mother. My current foster host was determined to ensure we didn’t have to live the “Street Life” He bribed us with food and talked to me every time I would come by with my sister and 2 brothers (those lucky guys already found a home together)! So, I used my cat charm and let him pet me and secured all the food I want. I was shy and still am around new people, but I’ve spent a great deal of time being socialized so we just need to meet and get to know each other. Once I figured out how to get in the house via the pet door, I pretty much took over! My two favorite places are on the bed or on one of the dining room chairs, I can keep track of everyone else I am a BIG Purrer, no matter what time of night my human moves, I go up to him and see if he wants to pet me and throw myself on his chest. I love playing with toys, being petted or brushed, catching lizards or chasing the other cats in the house. I was spayed on 9/14/19. I get along great with the small dogs in the house. I’m relaxed, know how to do the play bite, don’t bring my nails out when playing and allow him to trim my nails. I can be shy at first, but after a few days of adjusting and plenty of food and attention, I will adjust to my new furever home. My ideal home would be with my sister, I would need to be a full-time indoor cat because new surroundings outside would confuse me and I might run away. Please come see me. Click on my picture to see more and my sister too If you have any questions about MJ, contact Richard at [email protected]

Pumpkin
Date of Birth: 06/01/2008
Sex: Female
Color: Brown Tiger/Tabby
Breed: American Shorthair
Declawed: Front
  • My story: My family is preparing to move overseas, and unfortunately, I cannot take these two lovely ladies with me - Pumpkin & Patch. I have two adult female cats, approximately 12 y.o. that are sisters and bonded. Both have been spayed and microchipped. They have received quality food and water and seem healthy. Both cats are declawed, so must stay either in house or on a secured lanai (they enjoy looking at nature). I have never had any issues with biting, and they used to have a bunny friend, so seem to interact well with medium sized mammals. As they have spent a lot of their time with themselves on the lanai, they can be a little shy at first around new people, but after like an hour, they can be on your lap. I live in the Riverview area and am looking to move in the next few weeks, however, after 12 years with them, I want to make sure they can spend their golden years in a loving family. Carl
Date of Birth: 06/01/2013
Sex: Male
Color: Black & White
Breed: Maine Coon Mix
  • My story: This handsome boy is Carl. He just turned 7 years old. He is a chill but playful cat, loves to sit like a human and lounge by the windows. He gets along well with dogs, he has never been around kids, and he LOVES other cats. Carl would do great in a quieter home with a window he can sit at ( he loves watching the world go by) and hopefully a home with another/other cats. He instantly goes right up to any new friend purring away and grooms their face. He has a way to bring even shy cats out of their shell. Everybody loves Carl. He had a urinary blockage back in March so the vet has recommended he stay on his prescription food, hills c/d. Please contact Nicole at [email protected] or (863)701-6932 to learn more about Carl

  • My story: Circles,is about 2 years old, mellow personality, is slow to warm to you but when she knows you she will be happy. Has her shots. She gets along well with other cats, do not know about dogs and do not know about children. A nice home with yard for her to explore but likes time indoors. I saved her from a trailer park that has been demolished for a condo project. She had family but abandoned her when they had to move out. She is beautiful cat as they all are, but does not complain and gets along well with her feline pals. You can contact me, Sid, at [email protected]

Shiloh
Date of Birth: 12/01/2018
Sex: Male
Color: Black
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: Shiloh is an active handsome young male with beautiful yellow eyes. He is neutered and is approximately 1 year old. His story: He was trapped in an RV Park as a stray and taken to the Pet Resource Center in Tampa. He was very scared and shy in the shelter environment, which put him at risk to be euthanized. I adopted him to save him, build up his self confidence and to rehome him when his confidence improved, which it has. He is affectionate and loves to be with his human. I believe the ideal home would be with adults who may have children over 8 years old. (He has not been around little children) He also would need new owners who understand that he must be indoor only and that it is imperative to learn the needs of an FIV cat. He has no issues with my three dogs or two other cats. Although he is FIV positive, he is not a risk, as he is a lover, not a fighter. He has been tested twice for FIV to be sure he actually has it, which he does. His appetite is slowing down now that he has been treated for worms effectively. He eats dry and can food. Shiloh will make a wonderful companion to anyone who adopts him. He is microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. He uses the litter box every time and doesn't mind one with a hood either. A supportive home and family that will continue to build on his self confidence and give him the security he needs would be purrfect. Contact rescuer at [email protected]

Meredith Grey
Date of Birth: 06/01/2016
Sex: Female
Color: White & Gray
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: This pretty girl is Meredith Grey. She just turned four. She can be shy at first but after she gets comfortable, her funny slightly rambunctious personality shines! She LOVES her toys, she will toss and catch them in the air and even plays fetch. She gets along well with other cats, has never been around kids, but loves her doggie friends! She rubs all over them and even tries to play with them, which definitely confuses my dog. Meredith would do well in a home where she can run around, be playful and have lots of toys! She was originally rescued off of I-4 when she was only 6 weeks old. To learn more please contact Nicole at [email protected] or (863)701-6932

Petunia

Sex: Female
Color: Black & White
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: My name is Petunia I am a loving and fisty 2-3yr old spayed female feline. I am in search of a good loving, single cat, home. I am fully box trained and love to sit in windows and watch the outdoor activities, playing with my toys and would love for someone to play with me. Currently, I am being fostered in a multi-cat house hold and find that I need my own space! .Petunia is temporarily being housed as her former owner who adopted her from a local shelter has decided that she could not take care of her. Petunia is a very sweet, but is not a lap cat and does not socialize well with other cats in our home. She would do well with an adult(s), no children or other cats/dogs in the home. Minnie
Date of Birth: 07/01/2016
Sex: Female
Color: Brown Tiger/Tabby
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: This is Minnie, she is a 4 year old spayed female. She was raised with dogs and does well with them. She is wary about new dogs but after she adjusts to them she’s fine. She tolerates other cats but would do best being the only one. She is very sweet but wants attention on her terms when she asks for it. I feel she would do better in a home where she has more space and is either the only pet OR the ONLY CAT. She enjoys spending time outside on the screened in patio so that would be a plus for her! Xedo
Date of Birth: 03/25/2019
Sex: Female
Color: Black & White
Breed: American Mediumhair
  • My story: Hi there my name is Xedo (pronounced like Zedo), and I have an amazing sister MJ who I am bonded with and would like to be adopted with. We were born to a feral mother. Our crazy foster host, would talk to us every time he saw us come to get food. Eventually I gave in and let him pet my amazingly soft silky fur. From there the rest is history, the more friendly I was, the more food and treats I would get. I took up residence in the back yard and eventually watched the other cats and figured out how to use the dog door, that was just amazing. Inside the house, I found an unlimited supply of food, and toys, and my choice of places to lay. I was spayed on 9/14/19. I get along great with the small dogs in the house and one of the dogs became my surrogate mother, laying with me, grooming me and watching my every move. I play well with the other cats in the house and love toys. I am litter trained, I love sleeping in bed at the foot of my human or even in his son’s room. I’m relaxed and allow him to trim my nails. I am playful and don’t scratch and have the play bite down so I don’t break skin, and I love to be brushed. Although I am shy at first, after a few days of food and attention, I will adjust to my new furever home. My ideal home would be with my sister, I would need to be an indoor cat because new surroundings outside would confuse me and I might run away. Must be adopted with: Bonded sister cat “MJ” Click on my picture to see more and my sister too If you have any questions about Xedo, contact Richard at [email protected]

Junior
Date of Birth: 02/17/2010
Sex: Male
Color: Gray Tiger/Tabby
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
  • My story: Big squishy lover boy looking for his next chance at FURever! Poor Junior was found wandering the street by a good Samaritan. His mircrochip identified him as a kitty who was adopted from our local animal shelter and unfortunately his owner could not be located. We are pretty sure this fella was just abandoned! Junior is a very loving boy who just wants to snuggle and be near his people. Because he wants to be the center of attention, Junior would do best in a home where there are no other kitties or small children. If you are interested in learning more about Junior, please contact his caregiver Mary Henry directly at 813-770-2126.

Cali
Date of Birth: 06/01/2019
Sex: Female
Color: Tortie
Breed: American Shorthair
  • My story: “Cali” is an incredibly sweet spayed female Tortoiseshell that desperately needs a home. She is an abandoned cat that I have been feeding on my deck every morning and night for the past month. ( Ear tip indicates that she is spayed) I am not able to take her in as I have 2 cats and my HOA restrictions only allow 2 pets. It appears that Cali may have been abused as she is afraid of hands coming towards her although I have gained her trust over the past month and now am able to pet her. She purrs and talks to you and loves to rub up against you. I would love to find her a home! Colleen 413-544-4895 [email protected]
